Phones are fun and entertaining. They are how kids feel connected and normal. What kids don’t know is that every time they check their phone, they are causing stress. The body releases cortisol when attention is divided. So if you text, post something on Instagram, check a message, you could be doing five things at once just on your phone. Your brain is rewiring and this becomes the new normal. So when their brain is not doing five things at once, they feel anxious. (more)
