Outside the Box – Christy Johnson

The Renascence School International Panama City Campus would like to congratulate all of its 7th grade students for earning the prestigious recognition of being a Duke University Talent Identification Program winner! The students had higher SAT math scores than 82% and a better SAT reading score than 86% of the college bound seniors in Florida.

You may be asking, “What is Duke TIP?” From their website http://www.tip.duke.edu/node/240:
Duke TIP’s 7th Grade Talent Search is the largest program of its kind in the nation. Since its inception in 1980, over 2 million students have participated in a Duke TIP Talent Search. The 7th Grade Talent Search identifies academically talented seventh graders based on standardized test scores achieved while attending elementary or middle school. Candidates are invited to take the ACT or the SAT college entrance exam as seventh graders, which allows them greater insight into their academic abilities. Participants gain valuable benefits and have access to unique resources for gifted students.

The 7th grade students are part of an advanced academic and language immersion program that is unique to the Renascence School International. The curricula is hand picked and designed to prepare students to be competitive in the global world we live in today.  Students learn at academic levels comparable to top programs in the world.  The Renascence School believes that it has the recipe for success when it comes to providing children with a world class education!  Congratulations to the RSIPC 7th graders on their success!
