Outside the Box – Christy Johnson
On Monday, February 11, students at the Renascence School International Panama City campus celebrated a very important Chinese holiday, the Chinese New Year! According to the Chinese Zodiac 2013 is the Year of the Snake, which begins on February 10, 2013 and ends on January 30, 2014. The Snake, also called the Junior Dragon, is the sixth sign of the Chinese Zodiac, which consists of 12 Animal Signs. Mr. Yuan and Ms. Liu organized different activities and crafts during the Chinese language classes. Students made cards and posters. They enjoyed dumplings donated by Mr. and Mrs. Wu from China Coast and learning about the most celebrated of all the traditional Chinese holidays.
