LEGO Education Increasing Its Interest In STEAM Learning

It’s essential to ask the following: What can teachers do to ensure students have the confidence needed to grow in the critical STEM subjects? How can educators set students up with the necessary social and emotional skills to overcome the “hard” stuff? The president of LEGO Education, Esben Stærk Jørgensen, and I talked about his thoughts on the relationship between confidence and STEAM learning (which adds the arts to science, technology, engineering, and math) in middle school today. As the leader of LEGO Education, he believes deeply in the importance of hands-on learning to grow confidence and resilience among students. His team designs products and learning experiences that combine the physical building and creativity we associate with brightly colored LEGO sets with digital programming skills for students and teachers of all levels.
