Martin Luther King Jr. is one of the most influential social activists of the Civil Rights Movement in the United States. His legacy lives on. Without the influence of MLK Jr., basic Civil Rights for Black Americans and other marginalized groups of people of color, wouldn’t have been such a success at the time it was. Dr. King was born in Atlanta, Georgia in 1929 living in an affluent Black community.
