There are thousands of reasons that parents choose to homeschool their children. Among them, one of the best reasons to homeschool your child is to provide her with a real world education – the kind you can’t get in a traditional classroom. Homeschooling gives your child daily opportunities to put the skills she learns to use. Learning about fractions using a pencil and paper doesn’t scratch the surface in terms of helping your child understand why the lesson is important. However, following up the lesson with a dinner recipe that calls for measuring 1/2 cup of broth and 1/8 teaspoon of salt makes a big difference. (more)
